Valerie Madden

Valerie Madden is a Boston area Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, actor, and educator. She was designated as a Linklater voice teacher in 2019. She is Adjunct Faculty at Emerson College and The Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music where she teaches voice and text. She has taught at Shakespeare & Company, Actor's Shakespeare Project, CityStage and the Merrimack Repertory Theater. Madden is a proud member of SAG AFTRA and AEA.

In 2016 Madden worked as a facilitator for Anna Deavere Smith's "Notes from the Field: Doing Time In Education" at the American Repertory Theater. During the show's run she engaged with audience members in conversations about race, privilege, inequality and the school to prison pipeline.
