THE LINKLATER CENTER FOR VOICE AND LANGUAGE, LLC
COVID-19 POLICY*
Beginning with its Spring 2024 in-person classes and in-person workshops, The Linklater Center for Voice and Language, LLC (“The Linklater Center”) will no longer require proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Optional but not mandatory, The Linklater Center recommends that students, instructors, and staff remain up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots when made available. Students and/or instructors may wear masks in classes or workshops if they choose – however the use of masks is also not mandatory – each individual is encouraged to make the choice that feels safest to her or him. If you are feeling ill, we ask that you please remain at home and take care of yourself until such time as you feel better.
Here is the policy currently in place for all in-person classes and workshops during the Winter 2024 Session:
For all in-person classes and workshops, The Linklater Center for Voice and Language, LLC (“The Linklater Center”) requires that all participants present a photo ID and proof of vaccination against COVID-19 at the first session of that class or workshop.
Before each class or workshop session, please ask yourself the following questions:
1. Have you been in close contact (within 6 feet for at least 10 minutes) with anyone while they had COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 during the last 5 days?
2. Have you tested positive for COVID-19 during the past 7 days?
3. Do you have a fever of 100.4 degrees F or greater, cold-like symptoms, runny nose, sore throat, headache, new cough, or shortness of breath in the past 7 days?
4. Have you visited a state or county with a NYS or U.S. State Department travel or health advisory in the past 7 days?
If your answer to any of these questions is “Yes”, please stay at home and do not attend your scheduled class or workshop until such time as you have been symptom-free for 4 days, and you have also tested negative for COVID-19. For in-person classes, we will arrange short online makeup sessions for any students who must miss a class session or sessions due to COVID-19. For in-person workshops, we will refund to you the portion of the workshop that you have missed due to COVID-19. Students seeking makeup sessions and/or refunds due to illness from COVID-19 must email to The Linklater Center the results of their positive test for COVID-19 in order to qualify for makeup sessions or refunds.
